Listening to: JazzBluesFusion - John-Mayall

Really cannot think of a subject to this entry, or being precisely blunt, my head has given up on me. Have been just staring at the monitor and believe me there is nothing running in the head. Its just blank.
Do checkout Jazz Blues Fusion by John Mayall when you can. One of the most neat stuff i have heard...

Listening to: Blue Sky - Allman Brothers

Moving away from the question of absent without notice, (not that it matters, the two loyal readers this blog is also stuck in that state and, i count myself in the above number :)) ) i say , i just got myself to read some blogs today and, it ain't a bad idea to (re)start putting words together once in a while out here. I know they won't be great once like Mr Terry but, i guess it will get a smile on my face when i read them at 50 human years of mine ...

Walk along the river, sweet lullaby, it just keeps on flowing,
It dont worry bout where its going, no, no.
Dont fly, mister blue bird, Im just walking down the road,
Early morning sunshine tell me all I need to know
~Allman Brothers.

Listening to: Have You Seen the Saucers - Jefferson Airplane

They took all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half just to see 'em

Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Nice Sunday morning...

Listening to: Things Have Changed - Dylan

Body is running low on a concept, if i may say so, called good sleep and its just too dazed to make any sense of the alphabets being thrown out by the keyboard. People are such a bore, more often then not, and the dazed head suddenly realized that me is blessed with loads of them around me. Maybe small talk is just not my Cup of Tea. Need some beer and comforts of the bed in my room and heaven it would be....

Mr. Arjun Singh said this...
And I quote

Karan Thapar: In which case, lets ask a few basic questions; we are talking about the reservations for the OBCs in particular. Do you know what percentage of the Indian population is OBC? Mandal puts it at 52 per cent, the National Sample Survey Organisation at 32 per cent, the National Family and Health Survey at 29.8 per cent, which is the correct figure?
Arjun Singh: I think that should be decided by people who are more knowledgeable. But the point is that the OBCs form a fairly sizeable percentage of our population.
Karan Thapar: It could be possible that the creamy layer is excluded from reservations for OBCs in higher education?
Arjun Singh: It could be, but I don't know whether it would happen actually.

Well I think the above thing summarizes the fact why most of us say no reservation. I know of 20 people in a class of 60 whose parents were not economically backward, but just belonged to a caste which was categorized as OBC, and got into BE. To be frank, no one is against supporting a student, who did/does well, even when he did not get the best of the opportunity. But the problem, as indicated, is in implementation. Most of the OBC quota seats do not get filled up and the college management gets to sell it for unheard of prices, and in case of Government College it just stays vacant.

To be frank, do you think, any of these so called "Hero’s of Reservation", give a rat's ass to whether if it would/could get misused.
All these guys are trying to do is get some votes to their party, and nothing else. And it’s a pity that, India, the so called democratic country is not in any way a democracy. Its almost dictatorship, but only thing is we get a chance to choose the dictator every fifty year. The "choose" word here is highly questionable, but we will leave it there.

Believe me on this one, if reservation was properly implemented and had time bound goals, it would have been supported. Reservation, in its present form does not do any justice to even the OBC. Instead of bringing about radical changes at the grassroot level, where people could be taught about Social and Economic stability that knowledge could bring about, they are told of an easy way that could get them through their education to its highest levels. Over and above this, they are dragged into, as one of my friends said, and I quote “the same rotting and self-serving class of bureaucrats and technical folk we are only diversifying the pool of people who aren't doing anything but fleecing the nation.”

Listening to: David Gilmour - The Blue

Came to office, worked till after noon went out for lunch... on my way back went to check at PVR if i could book tickets for Da Vince Code, yet to be released a week later. Nope was the answer.. so drifted to Landmark came out with
new additions to my music collection.
1. David Gilmour - On an Island
2. The Best of Rare Earth - The Millennium Collection
3. The Allman Brothers Band - Gold
4. The Essential Roy Orbison
5. Tommy - The Who
6. Simon & Garfunkel - Greatest Hits
I had the last one, but lost the same. So last one is not a new buy in the sense of music, but more like a replacement....
I had all the above songs in MP3, but off late prefer to listen to original CDs.
Listening to David's album, and to be frank.. it is a bit of a let down personally. Its good, but i expected better...

Its you, or its me... or its everything....

People Envy Your Confidence

You have the attitude and self esteem to take on anything. Failure is beyond not an option for you - it doesn't even cross your mind.
People envy your ability to take on any challenge ... and they're secretly afraid you think you're better than them. You don't. You're just sure of yourself.
